X Minus One

I was walking down Colorado Blvd in Old Town on Tuesday when out from the alley near the movie theater jumped this big black bear.  He must have been 7 feet tall.  Wielding a louisville slugger,  he took a swing at me, but fortunately I remember my Kempo training from marching band and gave him a swift kick in the face.  I managed with nothing more than a few scratches, but unfortunately  my cell phone got damaged in the process.

Sooo......

Ben disappeared off the face of the digital planet.

Yep I did.  For a little while.  But now I'm back.  (Sort of)

The firewall at my work blocks xanga for security reasons.  So 12 hours out of the day, I am blind to this site.

So I've been working on getting www.evilben.com back up.  There's not much there in terms of design, but I'll get to that.

If you have any ideas for something you would like to see up on the site, let me know at webmaster@evilben.com.

See you on the flip side.

Jimmy Stewart Marathon Relay Results

Sunday was the relay race in honor / memory of my father.  We had 5 teams of 5 people who "competed".  My team, the "Go Getter" (no, really, don't laugh) came in at 4:32.  My mom not only finished (she was a bit worried about it), but finished almost 30 minutes faster than she was expecting!

I ended up passing her on the route and as I did, I yelled "great jorb!" which sent her 3 feet into the air. (Good to know I still have it!)

Kelly came in just over 50 minutes which was what she was hoping for.  Wendi blazed down the last stretch to come in close to an hour. (Man, I didn't know that girl could fly!)

The whole day was just a lot of fun.  I finished in 34:26 which was a little slower than I had hoped, but all-in-all, I was very pleased with my time.  Now to do something about these blisters   Oh, the post race depression is starting to set in.  Sigh.

[Pictures to come.]
